Congratulations!: Ahmed Ibrahim joins the UC Davis MPH Program

Congratulations to Ahmed Ibrahim who will be joining the UC Davis School of Medicine Master of Public Health Program. Ahmed was accepted early this summer and began classes in August. He is done with classes now and will return to Davis on Sunday to start the fall quarter of his one year program. In the meantime, Ahmed plans to apply for medical school. His plans span three goals. On the clinical aspect,he wishes to study immunology, from the public health aspect he wishes to study infectious disease epidemiology and from a basic science aspect study vaccine development.

"It is bittersweet leaving the lab. I have learned so much from everyone here, but it is so exhilarating to realize I will put these skills to good use. Besides, though my professional relationship will end, but the friendships I have formed with past and current lab members continues to be strong" says Ahmed. On behalf the all us at the Casali lab, we wish Ahmed the best of luck as he pursues his academic endeavors.
