Congratulations to Seth Hawkins on his baby boy!

Last week, Seth Hawkins had his first child, a baby boy named Atticus John! It is always wonderful to add another member to the Casali Lab family. Best of luck to Seth and Julie!

Tandis Arabshahi receives SURP/UROP fellowship

Tandis Arabshahi, an undergraduate researcher in the Casali lab, has been informed that the Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP)/Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) Faculty Advisory Board has recommended Tandis' appointment as a SURP Fellow at UCI for Summer 2010. Tandis will be awarded $1300 in support of her proposed research project, "C-MYC-IGH Translocation in Lupus-Prone Mice," under the supervision of Professor Paolo Casali and Professor Hong Zan.

We look forward to exciting results from Tandis' work. She will present her research results and findings at the UCI Undergraduate Research Symposium scheduled for Saturday, May 14, 2011. In addition, she has been invited to submit a research paper for possible publication in next year's UCI Undergraduate Research Journal.
