Springs Hello's and Goodbye's
Spring is here and a new semester has begun. A rainy winter carries in a flourishing spring as our scorched hillsides blossom into green, rolling, slopes. To quote Christopher Morley:
“April prepares her green traffic light and the world thinks Go.”
This spring we seize the day, as those scientists did before us. We tend to put aside our own desires, in order to solve one of humanity’s greatest desires, a cure for disease. Today, the prevalence of autoimmune disease is on the rise, and we are ready to rise up to the challenge! Fresh faces always keep the lab energetic and bring new ideas to the bench. We welcome several new members to the lab including:
Mark Said, Elliot Yu, Jeffrey Wang, Victoria Gevorgyan, and Thomas Gocke.
In the same spirit, we also bid our farewells to several lab members of whom we cannot thank enough. We say goodbye to Moon Kang, Pina Patel, and Jinsong Zhang as they move onward to bigger and better things in their journey through science and medicine! I leave you with and inspirational quote that exemplifies the attitude in the Casali lab:
"Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world."
