Congratulations to the Now Dr. Alqahtani!

This has truly been an eventful year here at the Casali lab. This year has seen the graduation of many of our undergraduate researchers, the addition of new staff and the moving on of others.

Last week, Ahmed Alqahtani delivered a successful dissertation defense before his committee and an audience of scientists, researchers, and of course his loyal cohort of students, friends and loved ones. Ahmed was later honored during the graduation at the 42nd annual UCI commencement ceremonies. Dr. Alqahtani was hooded by Dr. Casali himself during the commencement ceremonies! Ahmed received more cheers than any other PhS student at the event (rightfully so)! Ahmed now joins the lab as a postdoctoral scholar for another year (talk about spunk!).
