Congratulations Jeff Bonenfant!: November Undegrad of the Month

Congratulations to Jeff Bonenfant, November's recipient of the Undergrad of the Month Award. And while Jeff is actually completed his bachelors and conducts research in the lab as a volunteer, it only adds to the committment of this promising student. Jeff started on the right foot with everyone, quickly gaining the respect and admiration of those working with him from lab techs to postdocs and undergrads. One thing that stands out in Jeff's work is his precision and accuracy in runnning the various experiments whether important or trivial. To add the high quality of his work, Jeff is also a very committed researcher, often being very punctual with coming in to lab as well as staying extra time to accomplish lab work. Jeff is medically inclined as many members of this lab, and the skill he gains and sharpens here only add to his experience as a future physician.

Asides from research, Jeff is an avid surfer, and a gymnastics performer at Sea World during summers. He is also a deep philosophical thinker, reading many books of science and religion. He shows this charisma for science in his practice in lab. Jeff just recently presented at the lab's weekly lab meeting on his project on HoxC4 and its role in somatic hypermutation and class switch recombination. Jeff is not only a committed researcher in lab but his excellent work ethics and optimistic outlook makes him a great researcher and an excellent colleague to work with says Jennifer Denomme, the lab manager for the Casali. "He is raising the bar other researchers in the lab" she adds.

For Jeff's dedication, wonderful work ethics and talent, he is a the rightful recipient of the Undergrad of the Month award for the month of November. And like all other recipients of this award, it simply does not them enough justice for the priceless contributions to the lab.
